Harry Foster Buried At Sardis Funeral services were held at the Sardis Baptist Church at 4 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 1952, for the Rev. Harry H. Foster, 49, who died in a local hospital February 8. Rites were conducted by the Rev. H. J. Mott, pastor of the Laurel Heights Baptist Church and the Rev. J. O. James of Olla, and interment was in the Sardis Cemetery under direction of the Southern Funeral Home. Pallbearers were all minister, including the Reverends W. C. Bounds, Henry Fox, Ernest Evans, E. B. Barton, J. C. Smith, and R. O. Bazar. Survivors include his wife, a resident of Effie, La., a daughter, Mrs. H. C. James of Winnfield; a son, the Rev. George Foster of Kelly, former pastor of the East Winnfield Baptist Church; two brothers, Murphy Foster of Winnfield and Tom Foster of Colfax; four sisters, Mrs. E. H. Lasyone of Verda, Mrs. Jim Lasyone of Winnfield, Mrs. ___b Barton of Mangham, and Mrs. O. B. Leary of Rayville, and three grandchildren.
