Zion Mrs. Sam Fowler, 84, of Wheeling Community, died Tuesday, November 14, 1972 in a local hospital. A native of Winn Parish, Mrs. Fowler was a member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Mount Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. George McVay and Rev. Roy Milen officiating. Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Sam Fowler of Wheeling; three sons, Rayford Fowler of Brownfield, Texas, S. M. Fowler of Montgomery, and W. A. Fowler of Ft. Necessity; two sisters, Mrs. W. H. Brown of El Reno, Okla., and Mrs. E. W. Voss of Tampa, Tex.; 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bill Sheffield, Buford Fowler, Arvil L. Fowler, Burk Fowler, Burgess Mitchell, and Frank Fowler.
