Seaton Fowler Dies; Rites At Pleasant Hill

Seaton Fowler, 72, of Joyce, died Sunday, November 28, 1971 at 2:10 a.m. in a
Winnfield hospital.  A native of Michigan, he was a retired railroad section
foreman.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cassie Mae Fowler of Joyce; five sons, Calvin
Fowler, Smithey Fowler, and Robert Fowler, of Shreveport, Carl Fowler of San
Diego, Calif., and James Fowler of Texas City, Tex.; a daughter, Mrs. Maurine
Long of Salinas, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Courville and Mrs. Martha
Welch, both of LeCompte; and 13 children.

Funeral services were held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at 10 a.m.
Wednesday with Rev. Willie Broadway officiating, assisted by Rev. Alson Jeter.
Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral
Home of Winnfield.
