Funeral Conducted For Mrs. Fox, 90, Monday Afternoon

Services Held At Zion Hill Church For Member of 77 Years

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Dean Fox, 90, of Dodson were held Monday
at 3 p.m. o'clock at the Zion Hill Baptist Church near Dodson.

Judge Cas Moss and Rev. H. J. Mott of Winnfield officiated and interment
followed in the Zion Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Fox died in the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. W. Price of Dodson on
Sunday, May 5.  She was an active member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church for
77 years.  She was the wife of the late G. T. Fox, who died 35 years ago and
the daughter of Rev. Sam L. Dean, one of Winn Parish's pioneer preachers.

Mrs. Fox is survived by 10 children, eight of them girls and two boys: Mrs.
Lou Hammons, Gaars Mill, Miss Allie Fox, Dodson, Mrs. Delia Pierce, Laredo,
Tex., Mrs. Viola Stroud, Sikes, Mrs. Ada Smith, Winnfield, Mrs. Lena Adams,
Winnfield, Mrs. Arril Price, Dodson, Mrs. Ethel Peppers, Sikes, S. T. Fox,
Winnfield, and J. L. Fox, Alexandria.

Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Media Hammons of Gaars Mill, 30
grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was 90 years old and is survived by 90 members of her family.

Elzie Adams, Juston Hammons, Mack Artice Price, Hardy Smith, Jr., J. L. Fox,
Jr., and Hiram Stroud, grandsons, were the pallbearers.
