J. Franks Dies After Long Illness; Survived By Wife, 4 Children

Funeral services for John Franks, 85, were conducted Friday, November 8, by
Rev. A. H. Cullen, when the deceased was laid to rest in the Teagle Cemetery
after an illness of many years duration.

Mr. Franks has resided in Louisiana since he was six years old.  In May of
1877 he married Angeline Lowery, who survives him.  They were blessed with
nine children, of which four are living.  They are:  John and Willie Franks,
Mrs. A. M. Goodson, and Mrs. E. B. Martin of Pensacola, Fla.  He has one
sister, Mrs. R. H. Lowery.
