O. O. Franklin Dies After Long Illness

Funeral services for Onnie Oscar Franklin, 68, of Winnfield were held at 10
a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home here with Brother
Eugene Love officiating.

Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery here for Mr. Franklin who died
at noon, Saturday, November 20, 1976 in St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in
Alexandria after a long illness.

A native of Alabama, Mr. Franklin had resided in Winnfield for several years.

Survivors include one son, the Rev. Carl Franklin of San Augustine, Fla.; two
daughters, Mrs. Helen Karr of Alabaster, Ala., and Mrs. James M. Snyder, Jr.
of Birmingham, Ala; one sister, Mrs. Vonnie Sheffield of Birmingham, Ala.,
12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
