Funeral Services Held For Mrs. A. J. Franks, Mon., July 27

Funeral services for Mrs. Andrew J. (Jackie) Franks, who died at her home in
the Sanders Community near Calvin Sunday were held at the Sanders Church
Monday with Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of the Winnfield Presbyterian Church
officiating.  She had been in ill health for several years and in bed for the
past four months.

Mrs. Franks was born in Winn Parish in 1870, and was before her marriage Miss
Sarah Sanders.

Surviving are her husband, and three daughters, Mrs. J. W. Beal, Mrs. Ocie
Dean, and Mrs. R. H. Carpenter, and one foster son, Jimmie Franks, all of
Calvin.
