Henry Franks Dies After Brief Illness

Henry W. Franks, 65, of Winnfield died Wednesday, February 20, 1974 in a local
hospital after a brief illness.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Funeral Home
chapel in Winnfield with the Rev. E. B. Barton officiating, assisted by the
Rev. James Gorham.  Burial was in Bolton-Teagle Cemetery near Winnfield.

Survivors include his widow; a son, Samuel D. Franks of Winnfield; two
daughters, Mrs. Richard Roberts of Bossier City and Mrs. Herman Thomas of
Winnfield; two brothers, Hubert Franks and Huey Franks, both of Winnfield; two
sisters, Mrs. Dewey Vines of Winnfield and Mrs. Henry Vines of Joyce; and
three grandchildren.
