Funeral services for Mina Freeman, 53, lifelong resident of Winn Parish, were held Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. at the Yankee Springs Church with the Rev. C. M. Robinson officiating. Interment was in Yankee Springs Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mr. Freeman died suddenly of a heart attack about 9 a.m. Wednesday near Winnfield on the Atlanta Road, as he was en route to Winnfield in his car. He had lived in Winn Parish almost all his life and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Freeman was born August 11, 1896, and had made his home for the past several years on the Atlanta Road near Winnfield. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Leva Freeman of near Winnfield; and two stepdaughters, Mrs. Thelma Carpenter and Mrs. Corine Martin of Goldonna.
