Mother of Mrs. Keyes, Winnfield, Buried Monday

Funeral services were held Monday at Sardis Baptist Church for Mrs. Mariah
Elizabeth Freeman, 70 years and 7 months, mother of Mrs. Roy Keyes of Sardis.

Mrs. Freeman died January 13, 1952.  She was a life-long resident of Louisiana
and joined the Methodist Church early in life.

Services were conducted by the Rev. W. C. Bounds, assisted by Rev. E. B. 
Barton, Rev. C. M. Robinson, and Rev. Charlie Arnold.  Interment was in Sardis
Cemetery.  Hixson Brothers had charge of funeral arrangements.

Pallbearers were Ivy Keyes, H. S. Keyes, Frank Barton, Eugene Keyes, Archie
Keyes, and Josh Keyes, Jr.

Surviving are her husband, L. M. Freeman; two sisters, Mrs. Lola Maricelli,
Clarence; Mrs. Anna Brasher, Pineville; one son, Orie Freeman, Crossett, Ark.;
three daughters, Mrs. Lucille McQuillan, Winnsboro; Mrs. Bessie Fletcher,
Vicksburg, Miss.; and Mrs. Adelle Keyes, Winnfield; 16 grandchildren and a
host of relatives and friends who mourn her departure.
