Freeman Dies November 25 Walker B. Freeman, age 84 years, 8 months, and 17 days, died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. D. W. White, in Dodson, on Thursday evening, Nov. 25. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Brown, of Haynesville, pastor of the Primitive Baptist Church, at Spring Hill Church in Jackson Parish on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 27. Mr. Freeman was a successful farmer in the Spring Hill Community where he lived all his active life. He served as Justice of the Peace in his ward for eighteen years. Since losing his eyesight some years ago, he has made his home with his children. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Mattie Shively of Jonesboro, Mrs. Mary Casey of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Osal Howard of Oakdale, Calif., and Mrs. Francis White of Dodson; one brother, Z. T. Freeman of Waldo, Ark.; fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, four of whom are serving in the U. S. Army. They are Dalton and Armo Freeman of Dodson, Freeman Evers of Dodson, who is in New Guinea, and Miss Pauline Roberson of Jonesboro.
