French, 65, of Sprinhill, died Friday, April 30, 1971, at Springhill Hospital after a short illness. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield with the Rev. J. C. Skinner officiating. Burial followed in the Georgetown Cemetery. Mr. French, a native of Natchitoches, was mill foreman for Anthony Brothers of Springhill at the time of his death. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Blanche N. French; one son, James Alvin French, both of Springhill; two brothers, Jack French and Eddie Lee French, both of Jena; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Westbrook of Jena, Mrs. Mae Masters of Simms, and Mrs. Ethel Williamson of Monroe; two half sisters, Mrs Ila Wilson of Tallulah and Mrs. Leona Jones of Cabot, Ark.; and two grandchildren.
