Long Memorial Hospital, Pineville, Monday, December 1, 1941, were held at the Winnfield First Baptist Church, Tuesday, at 3 p.m. with the pastor, Rev. H. H. McBride, assisted by Rev. C. M. Robinson, officiating. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Mr. Franks, who was injured more than a year ago and had been retired from public work, had been residing on a farm near Winnfield. He was born and reared in Winn Parish. Surviving are his wife and four children, Mrs. W. R. Blair, Jr., Winnfield; Mrs. H. J. Neese, Baton Rouge; Mr. Lonnie Franks, McAlister, Oklahoma; Billy Franks, Calvin; two sisters, Mrs. Goodson, Dodson; Mrs. Bill Hulan, Pensacola, Florida; one brother, John Willie, of Calvin; and four grandchildren, Martha Ann Franks, Jerry Ann Blair, Francis Blair, and Jimmie Neese.
