Frazier Buried Friday At Gansville John Wylie Frazier, age 71, a former resident of Winnfield, died July 17, 1946, at Gibson, La. Funeral services were conducted Friday, July 19, by Rev. H. H. McBride, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Winnfield, and interment was in the Gansville Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Otis Machen, Elmo Frazier, R. E. Howard, and Lambert Stroud. Mr. Frazier is survived by his second wife, Mrs. Frazier, of New Orleans, and six children. They are Mrs. Walter Doebile and Clyde Frazier of New Orleans, Lorn Frazier of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Tilman Averett of Frost, La., Mrs. Lonnie Nix and Mrs. Ebb Sanders of Route 3, Winnfield. He also leaves nine grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Valley Yonce of Texas and Mrs. Bill Morton of Jonesboro. Mr. Frazier was employed 21 years at the charity hospital in New Orleans. He was the husband of the late Maggie Burnum of Winnfield and the brother in law of Mrs. H. E. Machen and Mrs. G. C. Taylor of Winnfield.
