Mrs. Funderburk died about 10 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 1970, and her son died Monday, August 10, 1970 at 9 p.m. She was employed in Alexandria as a beautician. Mrs. Funderburk was the wife of the great grandson of Mrs. Nancy Brown of Sikes and the infant was Mrs. Brown's great great grandson. Mrs. Funderburk and her son are jointly survived by husband and father, John R. Funderburk of Alexandria; son and brother, Todd Richard Funderburk of Alexandria; and parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dominic Palermo of Alexandria. Addtionally, Mrs. Funderburk is survived by a brother, Frank D. Palermo of Alexandria; two sisters, Mrs. Claude Huye of New Orleans and Mrs. Rosemary Morris of Pineville. Lance Funderburk is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Bill Garrett of Houma and paternal grandfather, John Funderburk of Houma; and paternal great grandmother, Mrs. Hazel Smith of Alexandria. Acting as pallbearers for Mrs. Funderburk were Kenneth Johnson, Phil Gary, Jeffrey Chiola, Richard Palermo, Clay Tillman, Jr., and Terry Brown. Pallbearers for the infant were Greg Granks, Johnny Clairmore, A. J. Chicola, and Nick Medica.
