Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Friday in the Sanders Chapel Church with the Rev. Roy Moore officiating. Burial was in the Sanders Cemetery under the direction of the Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mr. Franks was a veteran of World War I and a commercial fisherman. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Fannie Franks; three stepsons, Lelve Franks of Calvin, Jim Franks of Detroit, Texas, and Louis Franks of Edwards, Calif.; two step daughters, Mrs. Annie Bell Waller of Winnfield and Mrs. Lena Mae Bryant of Ringgold; a sister, Mrs. Carrie Blackstock of Winnfield.
