Mrs. R. Gorham, 83, Succumbs; Rites Friday

Mrs. Callie Gorham, 83, of Winnfield died at 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 1973 in
a hospital here.

Widow of the late R. W. Gorham, she was a native of Arkansas but had resided
in Winnfield most of her life.  She was a member of the Laurel Heights Baptist
Church.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Elton Mixon of Winnfield; two brothers, J.
T. Hunter of El Campo, Tex., and L. L. Hunter of Jonesboro; four
grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in Laurel Heights Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Friday
with Rev. Charles Haley officiating.  Burial was in Gorhamtown Cemetery at
Joyce under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Winnfield.

Pallbearers were Eugene Love, James Machen, Cecil Taylor, Robert Harper,
Otho Mott, and Owen Anders.
