Robert W. Gaar was pronounced dead at the scene by deputy Winn Parish Coroner Jonathan Allen just before 11:30 last night. Gaar was apparently shot during a domestic squabble when a 12 gauge shotgun he was struggling for discharged, striking him in the chest area, Page said. Page added no charges have been filed in the incident. Article No. 2 Bobby Gaar Services for Bobby Gaar of Winnfield were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Hixson Brothers with Dr. John M. Lee officiating. Burial was at Alexandria Memorial Gardens. Gaar, 31, died Tuesday, January 31, 1984. He was employed by the U. S. Forestry Services and a native of Alexandria. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Gaar; four brothers, Jack Gaar, Massey Gaar, John Gaar, and Burton Gaar, all of Alexandria; and one sister, Mary V. Paul of Lecompte. Pallbearers were Jack Gaar, Burton Gaar, Massey Gaar, John Gaar, Burton Gaar, Jr., Brent Myers, John Jordan, and Greg Wilder.
