Funeral Conducted For Mrs. Gaar, 87, at New Hope Church

Funeral services for Mrs. W. M. Gaar, 87, who died at her home in the Hudson
Community Sunday, were conducted Monday at the New Hope Methodist Church.

A life-long resident of the Hudson Community, Mrs. Gaar was the former Josie
Jones, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Jones, pioneer residents of
this section.  She was a member of the Methodist Protestant Church at Hudson,
and was the widow of the late Rev. W. M. D. Gaar, well known minister.

She is survived by two sons, Homer and Crosby Gaar of Natchitoches; one
daughter, Mrs. W. C. Goolsby of Hudson; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Jordan, 93,
of Hudson and Mrs. Della Hatten, of West Carroll Parish.
