Mrs. W. M. D. Gaar Of Hudson Dies; Buried Monday

Mrs. W. M. D. Gaar, 87, succumbed at her home in the Hudson community Sunday,
June 9.  Funeral services were conducted Monday at the New Hope Methodist
Church.

Mrs. Gaar, a lifelong resident of the Hudson community, was the former Josie
Jones, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Jones, pioneer resident of
this section.  She was a member of the Methodist Protestant Church at Hudson,
and was the widow of the late Rev. W. M. D. Gaar, well known minister.

Surviving are two sons, Homer and Crosby Gaar of Natchitoches; and one
daughter, Mrs. W. C. Goolsby of Hudson.  She also leaves two sisters, Mrs.
Martha Jordan, 93, of Hudson, and Mrs. Della Hatten of West Carroll Parish.
