Last Rites For Miss Zella Gaar Held At New Hope

Funeral services for Miss Zella Gaar, 78, were held Sunday afternoon at 4
o'clock at the Dodson Methodist Church.  Conducting the services were
nephews of the deceased, Rev. James L. Stovall, Rev. J. O. Payne, and Rev.
Charles Payne Strong, assisted by the pastor, Rev. H. B. Crammer.  Burial
was in New Hope, Cemetery under the supervision of Edmonds Funeral Home of
Jonesboro.

Miss Gaar died Saturday morning at 6:35 a.m. in a Winnfield hospital.  She
was born at Gaars Mill, La.  She was a lifelong member of the Methodist
Church.

Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. J. B. Payne of Dodson, La., and Mrs. H. V.
Sanders of Ruston, La.; also, numerous nephews and nieces and great
nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers were Paul Vane Gaar, Earl Gaar, Tim Gaar, Fraser Gaar, Don
Gaar, Jimmy Deason, Chester Hemperly and Stephen Hamm, great nephews of
the deceased.
