Funeral Rites For Mrs. Blanche McGinty Held

Funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church for Mrs.
Georgia Blanche McGinty, age 74.  Rev. Tom Cox officiated.  Interment was at
Mt. Zion Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home.

She died Wednesday night, July 10, 1968 in a local hospital following a heart
attack.  Mrs. McGinty was a native of Winn Parish and an active member of the
First Baptist Church.  She was assistant manager of a local dry goods store
until her retirement.

Survivors include one son, Herbert McGinty of Nenork, Calif.; one sister, Mrs.
J. W. Gunn of Montgomery; one brother, Matt Neal of Montgomery; and three
grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were R. V. Gates, J. M. Hightower, H. E. Powell, Dennis Shell,
John G. Jackson, and Kelly Peterson.
