He was a World War One veteran. Funeral services were held October 25 at the Morning Star Baptist Church with Rev. H. Y. Bell and Rev. A. M. Brown officiating. Burial was at Natchitoches, La. Larry was born at Lake End, La., August 4, 1893 and was reared in Natchitoches, La. He was a member of the Baptist Church and the Disabled American Veterans, Alexandria Chapter No. 54-111. Surviving are his wife, Octavia Gardner, of Winnfield, and his parents, Steve and Ella Gardner.
