Mrs. Barton Gaar Will Be Buried At New Hope Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Barton E. Gaar, 77, of Dodson, who died in Monroe
Wednesday night, will be held at the New Hope Methodist Church Friday, May 25,
at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Grafton Shaw officiating.  Burial will follow in
the church cemetery.

Mrs. Gaar's husband, prominent farmer and stock raiser of the Gaars Mill area,
passed away April 4, at his home in Dodson.

Mrs. Gaar, the former Miss Laura Carroll, is survived by six sons, Guy C. Gaar
of Dodson; Dr. M. C. Gaar of Baton Rouge; A. E. Gaar of Clinton, W. E. Gaar of
Lake Charles; G. B. and D. E. Gaar, both of Monroe; one daughter, Mrs. R. T.
Dahl, of West Monroe; 13 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
