Mrs. Gardner, 80, Succumbs; Rites Held Monday

Mrs. Laura Lee Gardner, 80, of Winnfield died Saturday, July 8, 1972 at 10
p.m.

Mrs. Gardner was the widow of the late John M. Gardner, a member of South
Winnfield Baptist Church and a native of Winn Parish.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Southern Funeral Home
Chapel in Winnfield with the Rev. Edward Smith, the Rev. James Gorham, and the
Rev. Curtis Rozelle officiating.  Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery under
the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Ben Boyett, Mrs. Joe Risher, Mrs. Jim Poole,
and Mrs. Melvin Rozelle, all of Winnfield.

Pallbearers included Roy Wagoner, D. M. Howell, Kenneth and Randy Rozelle,
Harper Terrill, and Willie Frederick.
