Mrs. Garrison, Winn Native, Dies July 29

Mrs. Marjorie Garrison of Rayville, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. L.
"Jack" McFarland of Winnfield, succumbed after a brief illness in a Shreveport
hospital on July 29th.  She was a native of Winn Parish.

Funeral services were conducted at Woodlawn Baptist Church by the Rev. Jimmy
Dobson.  Interment was at Rayville Memorial Cemetery.

She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn McManus of Rayville and two
grandchildren; nine brothers, George T. of New York, William L. of Beaumont,
Bobby J. of Washington, Lester with the army in the Phillipines, and Loran,
Charles, Bud, Peter, and Samuel of Winnfield; five sisters, Wardell Gray of
Washington, Cleo Vilarda of Tallulah, Nancy Gordon of Winnfield, and Myra and
Thelma McFarland; stepmother, Mrs. Billie McFarland and numerous aunts,
uncles, nieces, and nephews.
