Funeral Services For Charles Garner Today at 10 O'clock

Father of Mrs. G. P. Long Dies Here Following Long Illness

Charles Garner, age 85, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. G. P. Long here
Thursday morning at five o'clock following a long illness.

Mr. Garner was born in Butler County, Alabama and in 1878 moved to Louisiana
settling in what is now Ward 8, Winn Parish, where he resided continuously
until a few years ago.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Miss Elizabeth
Virginia Williams, also a native of Alabama.

Funeral services will be held this morning at ten o'clock at the home of Mrs.
Long and interment made in the Teagle Cemetery, five miles from town.

Surviving Mr. Garner are two daughters, Mrs. G. P. Long of Winnfield and Mrs.
J. T. Jones of Shreveport and one son, R. L. Garner of Crowville.
