Garrett, 74, of Winnfield, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home Chapel here with the Rev. Charles Haley officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mr. Garrett died Friday, March 29, 1974 at 8:30 a.m. in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. Mr. Garrett was the owner of a plant nursery here. He was also a native of Winn Parish. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bessie Frazier Garrett of Winnfield; one son, Onos M. Garrett, Jr., of Brandon, Miss.; two daughters, Mrs. Irma Mosely of West Monroe and Mrs. Jerry Pace of Memphis, Tenn.; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mickey Frazier, Gene Porter, Reed Carson, A. B. White, Jr., Donnie Garrett, Machen Garrett, Colvin Garrett, and Dewaine Garrett. Garrett Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. George Zubrod, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kiley of Houston, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tyler of Shreveport, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Couiter of Lake Charles, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smith of New Iberia; Miss Judy Garrett of Alexandria, Mrs. Goy Johns of Urania, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil McQuillan of Crowville, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Loe of West Monroe, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Wilbanks and children of West Monroe, Debbie, Reggie, and Randy Pace of Memphis, Tenn., and Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Garrett of Columbia.
