Winn Parish Enterprise    Undated article Services for Douglas E. Garrett were held at 3:30 p.m.

Monday in the

chapel of Southern with the Rev. Mike Howell and Eugene Love officiating.

Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery, near Calvin.

   Garrett,78, of Winnfield died at 9 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 1988 in his

residence.

   He was a native of Winn Parish and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church,

near Calvin.

   Survivors include his wife, Ellen C. Barrett of Winnfield; three sons,

Bill Garrett of LaPalace, and Don Garrett and Colvin Garrett, both of

Winnfield; three daughters, Patsy Smith of Lafayette, and Carolyn Garrett and

Judy Garrett, both of West Monroe; one brother, Tom Garrett of Lake Charles;

one sister, Winnie Scheiable of Washington; and nine grandchildren.
