Funeral Services For Silas Garrett Held Thursday

Funeral services for Silas Garrett, age 61, who died in a Shreveport hospital
Wednesday were held Thursday at Mars Hill, conducted by Dr. B. C. Land.

Mr. Garrett's home is at Verda, but for the past four months he has been a
patient in the hospital.

He was an uncle of R. B. Garrett of Winnfield. The body was brought to the
home of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Lasyone here to wait services.

He is survived by his widow, who was a Miss Lashley before her marriage, four
daughters and one son.
