S. Gassiott, who died Thursday morning at two o'clock, will be held this afternoon at two-thirty o'clock at the First Methodist Church. The Rev. G. A. Morgan, pastor, will be assisted in the rites by Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of First Presbyterian Church and the Rev. H. H. McBride, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Winnfield Cemetery. Mrs. Gassiott, who had been in failing health for the past few years, became critically ill a few days ago. She was a member of the local Methodist Church with which she affiliated soon after moving here with her family in 1919. Surviving are her husband, J. S. Gassiott, one son, J. E. Gassiott of Tremont, two daughters, Mrs. H. D. Emerson of Jonesboro and Miss Josie Gassiott of Winnfield; one grandson, Bobby Ray Gassiott of Tremont; two brothers, L. J. Billings of Corpus Christi, Texas and L. P. Billings of Valesco, Texas, and one sister, Mrs. Pearl Madden of Pennington, Texas.
