Gassiott Dies Of Heart Attack Funeral Services Were Held At Methodist Church Sunday William A. Gassiott, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Gassiott of Winnfield, died suddenly as he entered a filling station at Campti, La., last Friday afternoon, at 1:30 o'clock. He appeared in his usual health when he left home that morning and had not complained until he was stricken by what is thought to have been a heart attack. He had been in poor health for more than two years, but his death came as a distinct shock to his family and friends. William A. Gassiott was born March 9, 1902 near Groveton, Texas. He moved with his parents to Winnfield in 1919 where they still reside. Bill, as he was familiarly known, attended the Winnfield High School during the year 1920 and later attended the Max Morris School of Pharmacy in Macon, Georgia. He passed the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy in February, 1925, and later passed the Texas Board of Pharmacy and was employed in both Louisiana and Texas until his health failed in 1935. Surviving are his parents, two sisters, Miss Josie Gassiott of Winnfield and Mrs. H. D. Emerson of Jonesboro, Ark., and one brother, Ed Gassiott of Winnfield. Funeral services were held at the First Methodist Church Sunday afternoon with the Rev. Alwin Stokes, Presbyterian minister in charge, assisted by Rev. G. A. Morgan, Methodist pastor, and the Rev. B. C. Land, Baptist pastor. Burial was made in the Winnfield Cemetery under the direction of R. S. Walsh. Active pallbearers were L. C. Carter, A. L. Smith, J. L.
