Mrs. M. Gates, 73, Of Georgetown Dies August 6

Mrs. Matilda Ellen Gates, 73, of Georgetown, widow of the late Elbert Gates,
died at her residence Friday, August 6, 1971.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of Hixson
Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield with Rev. William Smith officiating. 
Interment was at Liberty Chapel Cemetery at Williana.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Myria Lou Brazil of Alexandria and a number
of nieces and nephews.
