D. H. Gatlin, 82, Buried at Mars Hill Church Tuesday

David Houston Gatlin, 82, of Hargis, died Monday, August 13, and funeral
services were held in the Mars Hill Church Tuesday, August 14, at 3 p.m. 
Officiating at the services were Rev. James O'Connor, Rev. C. M. Robinson,
Rev. John Hurt, and Rev. Ervin DeWitt.

Mr. Gatlin was born in Georgetown and had lived in Grant Parish all of his
life.  Interment was in Mars Hill Cemetery under the direction of Hixson
Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield.

He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. May Bazer of Montgomery, Mrs. Ne__
Wi_______ of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Fannie Strouther of Jonesboro, Mrs. Lou
Brian of Montgomery, and Mrs. Eula Walker of Jackson, Louisiana; and one half
brother, Joe Atwell of Jordan Hill.

Pallbearers were Owen Bazer, Hershel Brian, J. W. Brian, Charles Gatlin,
Lonnie Young, and Wesley Hale.
