T. A. Gates Twins Succumb Within Three Weeks

Within three weeks time death claimed little Gerald Simmons Gates, age 4
years, 3 weeks, and 2 days, and his twin sister, Marilyn Jo Gates, age 4
years, 1 month, and 2 weeks, of Sikes.  They both had been ill only a short
time with septic sore throat.  Gerald died at the home of his parents Sept.
15, and Marilyn Jo was a patient in the St. Francis Sanitarium at Monroe at
the time of her death on October 7.

Funeral services were conducted at the Mineral Springs Church with Rev.
Grayson Emmons in charge.  They were both buried in the Mineral Springs
Cemetery.

Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Gates; one brother, Thomas
Allen, and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Gates and Mr. and Mrs.
Simmons.
