H. L. Gentry Buried At Sikes Wednesday

Horace L. Gentry, 80, of 714 Smith, West Monroe, died Monday at St. Frances
Hospital after a lengthy illness.

A prayer service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Kilpatrick
Funeral Home of West Monroe.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Sikes Baptist Church
with the Rev. Jimmy Bolton and the Rev. Willie James officiating.  Burial was
in Sikes Cemetery.

A native of Winn Parish, Mr. Gentry was a retired merchant and a member of the
Sikes Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Andrew Gentry, Sr., of Monroe; three daughters,
Mrs. Cleo G. Henry of Columbia, Mrs. Ruth Guillory of West Monroe, and Mrs.
Louise Miller of Lake Charles; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
