I. Gentry Mrs. Allie Thornton Gentry, wife of the late J. I. Gentry, died in a Monroe hospital June 23, 1950. A native of Sikes, she was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at the Sikes Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Saturday with the pastor, Rev. A. D. Murry, officiating. Burial was in the Sikes Cemetery. Pallbearers were Reginald Thornton, Lloyd Willis, Donald Thornton, LaVelle Gentry, Cleo Thompson, and W. R. Thompson. She is survived by six children, Mrs. S. C. Dortch, Mrs. Travis Parker, Grayson; Mrs. Carl Underwood, West Monroe, Mrs. Roy Runyon, Sulphur; Jim Gentry, West Monroe, J. I. Gentry, Jr., Westlake; three sisters, Mrs. Horace Thompson, Sulphur, Mrs. Stanley Branch, Sikes, and Mrs. White Usrey, Baskin; three brothers, Hershel Thornton, West Monroe, Dewey and Ray, of Sikes, and Eros respectively.
