Mrs. J. D. Gentry Is Buried At Old Corinth Tuesday

Mrs. J. D. Gentry, eighty some odd years of age, succumbed January 2, 1944. 
Funeral services were conducted at the Old Corinth Church, Winn Parish,
Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Alwin Stokes officiating.

Mrs. Gentry was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church and will be
remembered as the former Miss Amanda Chandler.  She resided several miles from
Winnfield on the Alexandria highway until the death of her husband several
years ago after which time she went to Ruston to live.

Besides her step daughter she is survived by one step son, L. M. Gentry, of
Winnfield, and two brothers, Sim and John Chandler, of Ruston.
