Mrs. Gibson, 89, Dies; Burial At Mt. Zion

Funeral services for Mrs. Izzy Mary Gibson, 89, of Winnfield, were held at 10
a.m. Tuesday at Union Hill Baptist Church in Montgomery with Revs. Gerald
Paige and H. C. Blaney officiating.

Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery near Montgomery under the direction of
Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mrs. Gibson died Sunday, July 31, 1977 in
a local hospital afer a lengthy illness. She was a native of Colfax and a
member of the New Jerusalem Baptist Church near Winnfield.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Frances Corbett and Mrs. Mary McCain,
both of Verda, Mrs. Viola Cormane of Natchitoches, and Mrs. Eloise Thornhill
of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Lasyone of Montgomery and Mrs. Carrie
Stanfield of Colfax; 21 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
