W. F. Gibbs, 70, Of Goldonna, Died Wednesday

W. F. Gibbs, 70, died suddenly while eating breakfast at his home in Goldonna
Wednesday.  Funeral services were held Thursday, August 28, at Yankee Springs
Church, with Rev. Clyde Francis officiating.

Burial was in Yankee Springs Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home
of Winnfield.

Mr. Gibbs was a former member of the Winn Parish Police Jury from Ward Ten, a
position he held for many years.  He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. W. F. Gibbs, of Goldonna; two sons, Arthur of
West Monroe and J. D. of New Mexico; two daughters, Mrs. Ezra Blake of
Springhill and Mrs. Ola Peterson of Winnfield; four sisters, Mrs. E. E. Harper
of Goldonna; Mrs. Tom Shivley of Winnfield; Mrs. Tinnie Jordan of Goldonna;
Mrs. Horace Walker of Goldonna; and 11 grandchildren.
