John Benjamin Gilcrease, 78, of Winnfield died at 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 13,
1980, in the local hospital.

Survivors include four sons, Don R. Gilcrease of Spokane, Wash., R. B.
Gilcrease of Brush Prairie, Wash., Fred Gilcrease of Oregon and Benny
Gilcrease of Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters, Sylvia Bland of Winnfield, and
Willie Frazier of Ruston; one brother, Noah Gilcrease of Winnfield; one
sister, Leona Frederick of Winnfield, 21 grandchildren and 12 great
grandchildren.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home
with Rev. Ray Teal officiating.  Burial was in the Gilcrease family cemetery,
Montgomery, La.
