Gilcrease Dies Monday at S. Winnfield Home Following an illness of several months William T. Gilcrease, age 72, died at his home in South Winnfield on Monday of this week. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Church of Christ with Claude R. Brock officiating and interment followed in the Winnfield Cemetery. The deceased was born in Natchitoches Parish September 1, 1873 and was a logging contractor for many years and later was employed by the Department of Highways of Louisiana. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Gilcrease, three sons, John, Richard, and Noah Gilcrease and one daughter, Mrs. Leona Frederick, all of Winnfield; two stepsons, Charles Perow, Winnfield, and Arthur Perow, Logansport; three brothers, Steve and Andrew Gilcrease, Provencal, Russell Gilcrease, Epps; sisters Mrs. Ola Gottman and Mrs. George Conley, Provencal. Pallbearers were James Gilcrease, Troy Lee Frederick, J. C. Allen, J. W. Allen, Buster Goins, and Lawrence Speed.
