Mrs. Gilcrease, 79, Succumbs; Rites Tuesday

Funeral services for Mrs. W. L. (Lucy) Gilcrease, 79, of Winnfield were held
at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Laurel Heights Baptist Church here with the Rev. Charles
Haley officiating, assisted by Rev. Roy Moore.

Burial was in Couley Cemetery near Winnfield.

Mrs. Gilcrease was a native of Grant Parish and a member of the Laurel Heights
Baptist Church.

Mrs. Gilcrease died Sunday, January 6, 1974, at Schumpert Hospital in
Shreveport after a brief illness.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Martin of Winnfield; one
granddaughter, Mrs. Mary Berry of Winnfield and two great grandchildren.

The body was at the residence of Mrs. Billy R. Berry until time of services.

Pallbearers included Bain Gilcrease, Glen Gilcrease, Lamar Berry, Clifford
Whitehead, Elton Mixon, and Richard Watts.
