T. Gilcrease Funeral Held at Winnfield Sept. 11 Funeral services were held at the Winnfield Cemetery Tuesday, September 11, 1945 for William T. Gilcrease, 72, who died at his home in South Winnfield Monday after several months illness. Surviving the deceased are his wife, Mrs. Mary Gilcrease, and the following: two sons, Richard Gilcrease and John Gilcrease of Winnfield; two stepsons, Charlie Perot of Winnfield and Arthur Perot of Logansport, La.; two daughters, Mrs. Leona Frederick and Noah Gilcrease of Winnfield; three brothers, Steve Gilcrease of Provencal, La., Russell Gilcrease of Epps, La., and Andrew Gilcrease of Provencal; two sisters, Mrs. Ola Gottman and Mrs. George Conley of Provencal, La. The deceased spent years in the logging business as a contractor and at one time was employed by the State Highway Department. Mr. Claud Brock of the Church of Christ conducted the funeral services and burial followed at the Winnfield Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home. Pallbearers were James Gilcrease, Troy Lee Frederick, J. C. Allen, J. W. Allen, Buster Goins, and Lawrence Speed. September 20 William T. Gilcrease Dies Monday, Sept. 10, At His Home Following an illness of several months William T. Gilcrease, age 72, died at his home in South Winnfield, Monday, September 10, 1945. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Church of Christ with Claude R. Brock officiating, and interment followed in the Winnfield Cemetery. The deceased was born in Natchitoches Parish September 1, 1873, and was a logging contractor for many years, and later was employed by the Department of Highways of Louisiana. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Gilcrease; three sons, John, Richard, and Noah, and one daughter, Mrs. Leona Frederick, all of Winnfield; two stepsons, Charlie Perot of Winnfield and Arthur Perot of Logansport, La.; three brothers, Steve and Andrew Gilcrease of Provencal, La., Russell Gilcrease, Epps, La.; and two sisters, Mrs. Ola Gottman and Mrs. George Conley, Provencal, La. Acting as pallbearers were James Gilcrease, Troy Lee Frederick, J. C. Allen, J. W. Allen, Oree Allen, and Lawrence Speed.
