Colored Deaths

Robert Gipson

Last rites for Robert Gipson, 76, of Hatfield, who died January 11, in a
Shreveport hospital, were held January 16 at New Zion Church, with burial in
the city cemetery.

Surviving are following sons and daughters: Valey Gipson, Jessie Booker, both
of Winnfield; Surrada Wheeler, Broken Bow, Okla.; Oler Mae Lewis, Chicago,
Ill.; Mae Rose Rivers, Campti; Swaney Gipson, Detroit, Mich.

He also leaves three brothers, Joe and Andrew Gipson, Winnfield, and Lee, of
Kelly, La.; 23 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
