J. Lestage, 63, Succumbs; Rites Held Friday Gilmer Joseph Lestage, 63, died at 3 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 1969 of an apparent heart attack. He was a resident of Montgomery. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nora Lestage of Montgomery; four sons, J. G. Lestage of Montgomery, Frank Lestage of Orange, Tex., Nathan Lestage of Hope, Ark., and Waylon Lestage of Gramercy; two daughters, Mrs. Joe Knight and Mrs. Roscoe Moore of Montgomery; two brothers, Simurel Lestage of Natchitoches, and Harrison Lestage of Pineville; four sisters, Mrs. M. C. Moody of Montgomery, Mrs. Bertha Stroud of and Mrs. Walter Gongre, both of Natchitoches, and Mrs. Docia LaCour of Shreveport, and 26 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father J. G. Goins officiating. Burial was in St. Maurice Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
