He had been removing articles from the trunk of a car for Mrs. Mercer when one of her children discovered him on the ground. Funeral services were set for 2 p.m. August 24, from the Morning Star Baptist Church with interment scheduled in the Winnfield Colored Cemetery. Survivors include his widow, Lou Glynn; a daughter, Bennie Lee Beazley; a son, Marsel Glynn, Houston, Texas; and several grandchildren. Death was attributed to natural causes.
