Final Rites For Mrs. Sam Godfrey Held Wednesday

Funeral rites for Mrs. Sam Godfrey, 80, of Jackson, Miss., were held at the
Winnfield Cemetery Wednesday at 11 a.m.  Mrs. Godfrey was a former citizen of
Winnfield, having lived here with her late husband, Dr. Sam Godfrey, until
after World War I.  She was a daughter of the late Judge and Mrs. George Wear.

She had many friends in Winn Parish who remember when the family lived here.
At that time Mrs. Godfrey was an active member of the First Baptist Church. 
Judge Wear, father of Mrs. Godfrey, was a former district judge of this
district.
