Goff, affectionately known as "Uncle Bill" by his friends, died in Baton Rouge, La., Monday, May 12, at 3:30 p.m. after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Alwin Stokes in the Presbyterian Church of Winnfield Tuesday afternoon. Interment was held in the Winnfield Cemetery. Mr. Goff was 68 years of age at the time of his death. He was born and reared in Texas and married Lelia Martin in that state. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving Mr. Goff are his wife, Mrs. Lelia Martin Goff; nieces and nephews, Miss Janet Bethea of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Nadine Timmons of Houston, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Bethea of Houston, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Bethea of Baton Rouge, and brother in law and sister in law Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Bethea of Baton Rouge, La.
