Funeral Rites For Mrs. Bertha C. Goines Held

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday for Mrs. Bertha Cleo Goines,
82, of Dodson, at the Cypress Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Louis B.
Williams and Rev. Deloy Shows officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral
Home of Winnfield.

Mrs. Goines died Monday, May 10, 1971, at Winnfield General Hospital
following a long illness.

Survivors include three sons, William J. Goines of Shreveport, M. C. Goines
of Dodson, and G. W. Goines of Corpus Christi, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs.
Mary Jones of Bossier City, Mrs. Pearlie Ann Kittell of Slidell, and Mrs.
Cleo Hall of Brandywine, Md.' two brothers, Warren Johns of Winnsboro and
Jesse Johns; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Holly of Winnsboro; 20 grandchildren,
16 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
